Mission and Values

Our Mission:

Our mission at NK Dance Services is to celebrate, promote and preserve the beautiful Igbo culture…one dance step at a time.

Our Core Values:

Integrity - We do the right thing, even when no one is watching or expecting us to. This is our core value as it lets people know what we stand for. Ezi Omume (Good Character) is at the heart of who we are.

To dance with good character is to radiate the world. It signifies a strength of character, accountability, respect towards others and establishes a strong sense of self worth.

Excellence – We strive for excellence in everything we do. We believe in providing an unparalleled dance experience where creativity, precision, and passion converge. We push boundaries, embrace challenges, and aspire for perfection in every movement.

To dance with excellence, is to excel without limitations and beyond expectation. Through the pursuit of excellence, we achieve our goals, overcome obstacles, make a positive impact on the world around us and leave a legacy of exceptional achievements.

Serving Others – To lead is to serve. We serve others through dance by unleashing the unspoken potential of many through education, encouragement, support and creating an atmosphere where others can freely express themselves through dance. We are dedicated to sharing the joy of dance beyond the dance floor, reaching out to inspire and enrich lives and creating a positive impact that resonates far beyond the stageTo lead is to serve. We serve others through dance by unleashing the unspoken potential of many through education, encouragement, support and creating an atmosphere where others can freely express themselves through dance.

To dance is to serve the hearts of others by bringing joy to their face. It empowers individuals to create a ripple effect of kindness and generosity, fostering a more compassionate and caring society.

Authenticity - We are imperfect, but continuously improving; knowledgeable, but continuously learning; unique, but always fostering a sense of community and unity. We are audaciously authentic and continuously reflecting to ensure that our guiding principles enable us to celebrate Igbo Culture in its richness.

To dance with authenticity is to dance from the heart, with honesty, vulnerability and a willingness to let go of self consciousness or fear.

Igbo dance is not just for entertainment, but mastery of it requires 9 core principles which we believe are key guiding principles of life. These 9 principles are Respect, Resilience, Confidence, Integrity, Excellence, Serving Others, Authenticity, Unity and Hard work. More about these principles and their importance can be found here.
